WA State is infamous for being host to many large diploma mills.Â These mills feed lies and ill repute around the country, getting many unqualified people jobs they could otherwise not get.

The State House recenty passed Bill 2507 with the Senate introducing their own equivalent.Â These bills would create a fine of $1000 for WA State residents who lie on resumes or other documentation in regards to degrees not obtained or obtained from unaccredited institutions.

This bill is a great start at creating accountability. The next step would be to shut down the diploma mills that call WA their home and allow those in other states the ability to lie their way through the work force.
