13 - Free Paint from City of Seattle
Via Craigslist:
I haven’t gone yet to check this out, but will be shortly – it’s a bit of a haul from Maple Valley that early in the morning…
The City of Seattle has a program in their hazardous waste dept. that takes all the paint from those sites and re-’buckets” or remixes large batches of colors enough to do a whole house inside and out and then warehouses it and opens it up to the public every saturday morning for a couple hours and gives it all away for free. Colors are varied and range from off white to green, red, blues , grays, etc. No strings, they just weigh it so they can keep track how much paint is being saved from the waste stream. check it out . Go to the city of seattle website and go to hazardous waste and you should find something pertaining to paint program. If not just go down to the warehouse saturday morniing about 10am . It on second avenue , the block south of spokane street and the w. seattle bridge. Its on the right side (the other side is train tracks. The first business is the Fire depts then the next bay over (no sign) is it a and you should see cars there. Every Saturday morning year round. Stop buying paint. Im a painter and haven’t paid for paint in tthree years! So why am I letting everyone in on this secret. Im moving and want others to enjoy the free nd ship I’ve had with the program. It is truly kick ass.
If you go, leave a comment on how decent this is.
